My first 'I rate this...' features a hair tool that has grown in popularity so much over the last couple of years, and personally I wish it had come into my life much sooner than it did!
It's the TANGLE TEEZER!!
I have medium thick hair that is very long at the moment, and particularly the ends of my hair often get into tangles. Because my hair is so long, it can be quite fragile and I used to find that brushing my hair alot caused it to fall out, and getting out tangles would really hurt! The Tangle Teezer is great because it doesn't pull on your hair, better it just glides through and doesn't get stuck at any tangles. The soft bristles allows for minimal pull on the tangles, gently loosening them as you pass it through your hair.
The feeling after brushing your hair with this brush is also fantastic. My hair immediately feels fuller, softer and tangle-free. Since using this brush I have also seen a significant reduction in the amount of hair that falls out, and what I love about this hairbrush is that it can be used on dry and wet hair. I used to avoid brushing my hair when it was wet, but now i don't have to do that, and sometimes I brush my hair when I've got conditioner in and the brush distributes the condition through my hair really well!
I have always had lots of different hairbrushes, and most had quite firm bristles; I always also thought that I needed numerous amounts of hairbrushes to serve different purposes. The Tangle Teezer is multi-purpose and I have now thrown out all my old hairbrushes and just use this!
I bought my tangle teezer from Boots for £10.99, which at the time I thought was expensive but actually you really need to invest in one to see the true value of its worth! I would definitely recommend this hairbrush, it was the answer to many of my hair problems. My ONLY slight qualm is that over time the bristles start to bend out a lot, particularly if you have thick hair, so you would need to replace it eventually!
