Hey beauts!
Aren't these winds crazy!! It truly feels like Autumn/ Winter now, with the dark mornings, downpours of rain and dreadful winds! It's enough to make you wanna curl up by the fire in a onesie.
I recently did a bit of a beauty haul for the Autumn, and got my hands on a few products that I already use, and some newbies which I am so excited about! Most of the products are from the Body Shop, and when I go into a store, I am there for ages deciding what to buy!
I am a HUGE Body Shop shopper and have probably got my hands on pretty much everything in there at one point or another! Upon recommendation, I got this fabulous Hemp hand wash. The smell of Hemp can be a little off-putting however the actual soap is really nice. It has creamy texture and is greatly moisturising. I thought I would try this new product as it's getting much colder now, and also very windy. My hands tend to get dry in this weather and this hand soap is highly moisturising and since using it for the first time you can see the difference in the softness of the skin.
Pre-moisturing serums are fantastic!! I usually use the Body Shop Vitamin E moisture serum before my daily moisturiser, and that one is great because it offers that extra bit of moisturisation and protection to the skin (Vitamin E is great for that). I came across this Aloe Vera version of the serum and thought I would change it up a bit and got this one instead. I have to say after using it for a few days now, I think it's a really nice product. It offers that extra bit of moisture underneath your daily cream and my skin feels really fresh when I use it. Aloe Vera is another fantastic protective agent, helping to prevent wrinkles, acne, sunburn and irritation. I would recommend both this product and the Vitamin E version.
So when I first discovered this face mask about a year and a half ago, I was literally AMAZED! I could not believe that the mask starts to heat up in your hands upon contact with water!! It feels so nice when you apply it to your skin because its warming. This effect of the mask opens up your pores allowing for a deeper penetration into the skin and is therefore deeply cleansing. I love clay masks too and literally I am so happy to have found this one! It's worth the dollar. I try/make a lot of face masks, but this one by the Body Shop is by far my favourite purchasable face mask!

In the past I have tried the Clarins Pore Minimising treatment, where I usually just apply it to my T-zone, as this is often the problem area on my face. I found this Tea Tree Oil version in the body shop and decided to give it a go. I love Tea Tree Oil because its so great for fighting those nasty break-outs and blackheads. Tea Tree has antibacterial and purifying properties so not only will this help to reduce your pores and therefore reduce excess oil onto your skins surface and reduce spot formation, but will also clear your skin. Noticeably this product has a distinct Tea Tree smell, and this is known to clear the mind and be quite therapeutic! I'm not sure how much I like the idea of applying a daytime product onto my skin with that scent though, but I could get used to it, especially as I'm already loving the effectiveness of the product! As this pore minimiser contains natural Tea Tree it also acts as a skin de-congester, and I have been able to really feel this when its on my skin, it feels like its breathing and therefore nice and fresh! Another benefit of a pore minimiser is that it goes on top of your daily mosituriser and makes a fantastic primer, and this one in particular has a nice satin feel to it. If you're prone to breakouts or have noticed large pores on your skin, give this a go!

I have heard and seen so much about this new foundation lately and wanted to get my hands on it and give it a try! As you may know, I'm not very keen on applying lots of foundation and don't really like the feeling of having lots of heavy foundation on. I much prefer a lighter foundation. When I heard this foundation was "lighter than water", I thought it was definitely up my street! My first thoughts of trying the foundation were that the bottle is a right nuisance!! You have to tip the bottle on to your fingers to get the foundation out and honestly I've accidentally poured out too much and spilt it. But anyway onto the actual foundation. The first thing I found is that it dries on your skin very quickly so you have to apply it to your face straight away, and I used my fingers to rub it in which worked fine; you can also use a foundation brush. You have to apply it a few times, and as it is so light, initially you think there is no effect. But oh my all of a sudden you can really see the coverage and its a very natural finish. I actually really like this foundation because it doesn't offer loads of coverage like a thick fluid foundation, but actually gives you a nice natural matte finish. They recommend you use a powder on top, but for me, the finish is matte enough. There are also a number of shades, so they have really gone for the perfect match for all. I would definitely recommend this foundation, and at it's price you cant really go wrong, even if it is a back-up foundation. I got mine from Boots, but obviously you can purchase this at any L'Oréal make-up house :)
Where to buy: Boots || Superdrug || Feelunique
As it's starting to get colder and windier, I recommend trying some products that are moisturising and protecting. Central heating can also have tiresome effects on the skin, so in this weather it is really important to lock in skin moisture, keep protected and stay hydrated. These are just a few products that are not just for the season, but just general ones that I wanted to try.
Happy Autumn hauling!
Love Nimisha
xoxo
