Nimi Notes: Nail Diaries : My favourite winter nail polishes

This time of the year I love to change up my nail polish collection or at least revert to some of my more winter-y colours. This season I have opted for some darker shades, but also some bright colours to match the bright christmas lights and festivities.

I'm a big fan of certain brands such as No.7 and KIKO. Both brands of polish have such an array of great colours, and long lasting wear. I've also said before that Maybelline is also one of my all time fave brands. They have some great stand out colours for the season.

Here are some that I have seen out and about lately, they would make some perfect stocking fillers!

Sally Hansen - Trouble Maker #500 - £6.99

Butter London - Branwen's Feather - £12

As the weather starts to cool down I slowly make the transition from pale pinks to plum purples and these shades of plum are trademark Autumn/Winter shades. I love the little sparkle the Butter London shade has in it too. Both of these brands are quite new to me also. Only recently have I started to try Sally Hansens nail colours- I've used the other products in her range, such as the nail strengtheners, but the colours are gorge! Butter London is just gem for the range of colours. Sounds strange but I love the bottles too!

O.P.I - Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow - £11.50

To me, dark shades of green are great for the winter because it's Christmas, and I often associate christmas with green. I love dark shades of green and dark turquoise colours. They are warming and really stand out. I LOVE O.P.I nail lacquers, this brand is one of my favourite nail brands for colours and quality of the varnish.

Ciaté - Caviar Manicure Luxe Gleam - £20

I also love a few novelty/ designer nail polishes around this time. With Winter style and the darker shades, as well as those shiny pieces within outfits, I feel like nails also have to stand out! Nails Inc always do a great range of holographic and glittery shades that look really nice on the nail without looking really youngish. Ciaté are just fab!! I first discovered this brand when I was in Paris last year, and fell in love with the beads and had to get a pack!! Their collections are really fancy and novelty for those special occasions. These are also great stocking fillers!
