Goodbye 2013!!

It's time to say goodbye to 2013 and welcome a new year, new things, new experiences and a new start in 2014.

When I look back over the last year, its definitely been a roller coaster year but overall it's been a good one. My highlights were definitely graduating from University, travelling the East Coast of America with my family and sharing some pretty special moments with special people. I have also learnt a hell of a lot this year and I really hope that I can use that to move forward into the coming year.

At the end of every year, as I'm sure most people do, I love to reflect on things I've done, what I've seen and thing that have happened over the past year and always write down some of my aims for the forthcoming year in the hope that I can always do better.

On New Years Eve last year, I tried something people like to call 'burning therapy', where I wrote down all the things I wanted to let go or thing that I felt I needed to change, and created a little fire and burnt them. It wasn't about burning things that I wanted to forget. All things happen for a reason, good or bad, so it was a good chance to just be able move forward and set goals and learn from past experiences.

Many people do this to burn any memories they wish to forget, or let things go, and I saw it as a good chance to do both also.

This year I've done something similar but I've written down some resolutions and hopes for the new year. If you don't already, do the same- one great thing about making a list is that you can look back at the end of the year and see what you have achieved and anything you do is always progress.

So from me to you, I'm wishing you all a very Happy New Year! However you celebrate, smile in the new year, and that's how you will spend the rest of your year!

See you in 2014!

Love Nimisha
xoxo
